Bedz4u offers a huge selection of kid’s bunk beds

Bunk beds made from wood are all the rage among children.

Bunk beds from Bedz4u will make getting your child to bed more accessible, but taking them out will be more difficult!

In addition to full-size bunk beds, there are single bunk beds, bunk beds with storage, bunk beds with a workstation below, and triple bunk beds.
Most of our bunk beds can be separated to make two beds. Two single beds or a double and a single, as your children grow up and need their bedrooms.
Long-lasting and durable wooden bunk beds are a wise choice.

Our bunk beds are rigorously tested for durability because children put a lot of wear and tear on them.
Bunk beds are ideal for small bedrooms, and box rooms can also benefit from them.
White, silver, black, beech, oak, and antique pine bunk beds are available in stylish wood and metal designs.
For future reference, add a bunk bed style to your wish list on our website.

Families with children will find triple bunk beds an excellent investment and a practical way to save space.
In addition to converting a triple bunk bed into two separate beds as your children grow, it is also possible to convert it into a double bunk bed and a single bunk bed as your child ages.
Mattresses will need to be ordered separately for these beds.

Choosing the right size Bed Frame

Choosing the right bed size is imperative.
Make sure you check the measurements before you purchase any bed, whether it is a single bed or a super king-size bed.
Choosing the right size bed.

Bed size can have a major impact on your sleep quality and bedroom style.
The most important thing is to be comfortable and stretch out, roll around, and starfish in comfort.
If you’re buying a young child’s bed, remember they’ll need room to grow.
The wrong size bed can affect a room’s design in terms of style.
A bed that is too small will look out of place. It needs to be just the right size.

Will it fit? That’s the big question.

Here are a few things you should consider before buying.
Check and double-check the dimensions of the bed.
It is common for bed frames to have larger external dimensions than their mattresses.
Depending on the size of the headboard and footboard, the overall footprint can vary significantly for some beds, such as sleigh beds.
When it comes to simpler-styled beds, the mattress may extend to the foot end of the bed.

Top tips:

If you are tall, remember that a mattress for double beds is only 190cm (6”3”) in length whilst king-size or super king mattresses are  200cm (or 6”6”) in length. So, a bed with a low foot end may be best.
Check the space of your room.
Planning your room layout should include things like skirting boards and door frames.
In addition, you should consider where the rest of your bedroom furniture will go and make sure you have enough space to access drawers and cupboards.

Zip and Link Mattresses

Zip and link mattresses are just as the name suggests.

A zip and link mattress is essentially two separate mattresses that can be zipped together to form one king-size or super king-size mattress.

What are the benefits of a Zip and link mattress?

This zip and link function is of greatest benefit for couples with different comfort preferences, or noticeably different body weights. These mattresses need to be the same in depth.
This function allows you to have two mattresses of varying firmness and support joined together to create one king or super king mattress.
It also prevents rolling together – the natural weight of two individuals can cause the springs to compress throughout the centre of the mattress causing a natural ‘roll’ for the sleeping occupants.
Zip and link mattresses are made up of two separate mattresses so that centralized compression is minimized.

There are other practical benefits to zip and link mattresses.
Firstly, if you have a narrow staircase or a difficult-to-navigate delivery route at your property, you may struggle to get a king or super king mattress to the bedroom!
The zip and link mattresses are much easier to maneuver as they can be delivered separately as two single mattresses.
Secondly, when assembled the mattresses can be separated so you can use them independently and have two single beds, or one large bed, depending on your requirements.

Metal Beds

Everyone wants to decorate or change their bedroom decor from time to time.
The bedroom is one of the most important rooms in the house.
It should be decorated in such a way that it makes you feel rejuvenated and refreshed.
Buying a new metal bed would also add to the look of the room and decor and can be done relatively cheaply these days with a wide range of beds to choose from.
Metal and wooden beds are often compared because they are both traditional materials for bedframes.
The two are well-suited in many ways, so choosing between them can be challenging.
Metal bedframes are extremely sturdy and come with wooden slats that can be solid or sprung, depending on how much support you prefer.
When choosing metal or wooden beds, style is the most significant factor.
Metal bed frames can be easily incorporated into most bedroom styles, which is one of the most appealing things about them.
Nonetheless, they don’t have to be dull.
As metal can be molded into almost any shape, metal beds have some of the most intricate designs.
A bed knob or finial can be of any shape or size, from intricate swirled designs to classic straight or angular frames.

The first thing you need to decide when selecting a metal bed is which size will work best for your bedroom.
All sizes of metal beds are available to suit any bedroom.
If you need to furnish a guest room or have a small room, a metal small single bed or single bed will still make a stylish addition to the room.

The most common type of bed frame for an adult’s bedroom is the double or king size.
A super king metal bed looks elegant in a large room and provides optimal sleeping space.
For most adult bedrooms, metal beds are available in double or king sizes.
With a super king metal bed, you’ll have a statement piece and a comfortable sleeping environment.
We offer modern metal beds as well as traditional and industrial styles.

Foam Encapsulated Mattresses

Foam Encapsulated Mattresses work by encasing the inner mattress fillings within a supportive foam border.
Essentially, it is a box of support foam that reinforces the whole mattress spring unit.

Key features of an encapsulated mattress:

A supportive foam layer on the base of the mattress.
A foam border is built around the sides of the mattress to create an open box.
Foam-encapsulated mattresses may also feature a layer of support foam above the springs.
A comfort layer is used, made from either Memory Foam, Latex or Gel Foam, and then covered in fabric to complete the Mattress.
Our Foam Encapsulated Mattresses usually contain Memory Foam, Gel, Latex, and a Pocket Sprung unit.

Easy to care for and maintain.
Foam Encapsulated Mattresses are single-sided due to the reflex foam base and encasement.
You only need to rotate your encapsulated mattress from end-to-end (180 degrees), recommend doing this every three months.

We are one of the largest Online Stockists of Beauty Sleep Foam Encapsulated Mattresses. Please view their Mattress Collection Here.

Choosing a Children’s Bed

Sleep is in an important part of life. Every living creature on the planet needs some sleep. As adults, we spend, on average, about a third of our lives in bed. With statistics like that, it’s important that the bed we choose for our children needs to set them up correctly for all that time spent under the covers. Of course, the amount of sleep our children need varies from person to person. At one week, old it’s not unusual for them to sleep 8 hours during the day, and the same at night. As they grow, daytime sleeping starts to reduce but sleeping during the night (hopefully) increases. Between the ages of 5 and 11, experts generally agree that children need between 10 – 12 hours of sleep per night. Many parents will tell you that they can only dream of nights like that. Still, with such an array of beds available for kids, what should you be looking for to make the night as restful and peaceful as possible? Let’s take a look.

It wasn’t that long ago when children’s beds were simply smaller versions of the beds we have as an adult. Whilst those still exist, and we have some brilliant ones in stock, these days the sheer range of beds available to our little cherubs is immense. Whether they’re a boy or a girl, academically inclined or just enjoy making bedtime an extension of playtime. You’d be amazed at the choices available to suit every budget.

For boys, we have a range of beds that they will love, no matter what sparks their imagination. From racing cars, fire engines, tractors to pirate ships.  They offer children a comfortable place to lay their heads, but also a fantastic opportunity to engage their endless creativity during the day. They can turn their bed into a ship sailing the seven seas, or for racing their favourite characters on a high-speed racetrack. Making these beds are a quality piece of furniture and an exquisitely crafted piece of play. What’s better than that!

For your little princesses, we can offer them an equal amount of fun. The range of beds for girls is outstanding. Of course, we offer the basic bed frames for those wanting some elegance, but there is much more on offer than that. We have princess carriages to please even the most royal little girls. Our horse-drawn carriages may lack the horsepower, but they more than make up for that with a style and charm all their own. If your little girl is a little tom-boy, then rest assured we have them covered. We have a great range of racing car beds designed specifically for girls. Plus, there’s nothing to stop you buying any of the beds we have regardless of gender. We’re proud to be an equal-opportunity sleep supplier!

Don’t forget, if you have more than one child needing a new bed, then we can help with that too. We have a great range of bunk beds to keep them happy and that includes triple-sleepers which have a double bed at the bottom and a single at the top. The only argument you might have is who sleeps upstairs and who sleeps downstairs on the bottom bunk. Let’s face it, if that’s the worst problem you have, you’re doing alright.

Whatever you’re looking for, bedz4u.co.uk will have something to suit. We monitor our prices to keep them competitive so you can rest assured you’ll always be getting a great deal from us. Sleep well!

How to achieve a great Night’s Sleep

When most people spend around a third of their lives in bed the mattress you choose must be not only comfortable but supportive for your back and posture. The Mattress you choose can easily be the difference between a good night’s sleep and a sleepless night!
Mattresses, like many other things in life, are entirely subjective. The correct mattress for you will be different from the mattress that’s right for the next man. Some people like a harder mattress, while others prefer something they can slowly sink into.

The second most important aspect of a good night’s sleep is the bedding you choose. A correct tog for the duvet cover and luxury cotton or silk bed sheets are paramount in achieving this.

Choosing a Bedroom Colour Scheme is also important when deciding how you want your personal space to make you feel. This may be reflecting a love of color, a love of bright colors, opulent tones, or whites and neutrals.

When you head to your bed at the end of the evening, you want your bedroom to encourage you to relax and drift gently off to sleep. That is much, much easier when your bedroom has been decorated in colors that you love, that your furniture works well for you and you have ample storage solutions that help you ensure your space is kept neat. Back Pain

Back Pain

Back pain and how to manage it

We spend around a third of our lives in our beds. With so much time spent laying down, the mattress we have on our bed is vital, not only to ensure we’re comfortable but also to minimize or alleviate back pain.

The mattress you choose can easily be the difference between a good night’s sleep and a sleepless night filled with pain and discomfort. So what makes it the ‘right’ mattress?

Let’s take a look.
Mattresses, like many things in life, are entirely subjective. The right mattress for me will be different from the mattress that’s right for you. Some people like a harder mattress, while others prefer something they can slowly sink into.

When it comes to back pain, however, there may not be a ‘perfect’ mattress, but there are things to look out for that can help relieve the situation that makes a mattress perfect for you.

Whether you suffer from back pain now or want to reduce the risk of it in the future, you need a mattress that supports your spine.

The spine is an incredibly strong and flexible part of your anatomy, made up of bones, flexible ligaments, muscles, tendons, and highly-sensitive nerves. It’s a wonder of biological science, but it’s not unbreakable nor is it necessarily guaranteed to last a lifetime.

A good mattress, meaning one that is right for your particular needs, should offer the right amount of support in all the right places to this important part of your body. It used to be that everyone from Doctors to those old wives’ tales would say that only a rock-hard mattress would help with a bad back, but research has now shown that depending on the back pain you suffer with, a harder mattress can create further problems. The right mattress for you is dependent, not only on the type of pain you suffer from but also on your age, size, and height.
Not all mattresses are created equally. Terms such as ‘orthopedic’ or ‘Posturepedic ‘all tend to cloud the waters when buying a mattress. It’s important to look at the configuration of springs (including open coil mattresses, pocket sprung, etc.) or, if you want a foam mattress, then there you have the choice between latex, visco-elastic, and memory foam. The list goes on. When choosing a mattress, it should, above all else, do several simple things well. It should be firm enough to support your body without sagging, whilst allowing you to turn comfortably. The supportiveness of the mattress refers to how well (or not) it keeps your body on a flat and level plane. Neither your top nor bottom half should be higher than the rest of you when sleeping. This is a key factor in preventing or alleviating back pain. If your existing mattress is starting to sag in the middle, this will have a huge impact on your spine and will cause you problems. If this is the case with your current mattress, it’s time for a new one for sure.
Another key aspect of a good mattress is its comfort. Comfortability refers to how it holds to the contours of your body. A mattress with good comfort will support your body equally along its length. Any gaps in that support can result in stress or unnatural pressure being placed on your upper or lower spine. This all brings us back to firmness.  Soft mattresses tend to offer good comfort but lack adequate support. A mattress that would be generally classed as ‘medium’ (again, this is subjective), tend to be firm enough to offer robust support whilst being soft enough to provide good conformability, which makes them probably the most effective in relieving pain. Firm mattresses on the other hand offer great support but provide little (if any) conformability. As we said earlier, the choice is up to you and your condition.
Whatever you need, we can supply a mattress that is perfect for you. Granted we don’t have a shop to try them out in, but that shouldn’t stop you. Shop around in your local stores, try them out (if you share a bed with someone – take them with you when you look), and once you’ve decided, come right back here and order it cheaper than anywhere else. We stock all the top-selling mattresses from the leading suppliers so we are sure to be able to supply the mattress you need. We look forward to helping you. Sweet dreams.
